Viagra helps women deal with sexual dysfunction
The latest research shows that “Viagra” appeared to be an effective remedy for sexual dysfunction in women.
Sexual dysfunction - is a wide-known side-effect of antidepressants. Nevertheless, the most effective drugs for men are not approved to women, - say the authors of the research in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Scientists tested “Viagra” on 98 women who have already gotten rid of depression but who were still experiencing sexual problems like a lack of sexual arousal and aches during sexual intercourse.
During eight weeks, women had to take one “Viagra” pill an hour before sexual intercourse. Half of them were given placebo which had no pharmaceutical effect.
Approximately 73% of women who took placebo told that they had no positive effect and only 28% who took “Viagra” said the same.
Cure this unpleasant side-effect among patients gives them an opportunity to continue taking antidepressants, and thus enhance the results of treatment, - wrote the author of the research, George Nuremberg from Medical School in the University of New Mexico.
